This book explores everyday subjects in a light hearted and often humorous manner.

          Booking a Holiday on-line?
What does it feel like to be a by-passed road?
How do you beat the blues?
Is it worth winning the Lotto?
The sweet sound of the goldfinch
          What should we eat?

These are just some of the topics covered in this book.

Some people just walk for the good of their health,
They say that it’s splendid and better than wealth,
It’s good for the body and all types of ills,
It’s better than medicine, better than pills. …..(continued)

THE GOLDFINCH

As I strode out on winding paths
To meet the springtime breeze,
Bright shafts of sunlight shone out through,
The ash and elder trees. ..............................(continued)

THE TEETH

The moussaka and rice
Was tasting so nice
‘Til a small grain went under my teeth,
Then the tongue has adventures
Exploring the dentures
But couldn’t probe right undereath;
This called for a trip to the bathroom,
I’m sure that you’ll all understand,
That whilst I was washing my dentures
They suddenly slipped from my hand. …….......(continued)
