Your colour is light
And you think you look white
When you start making holiday plans,
To be a jet setter
A bronze would be better,
You contemplate synthetic tans;
The sun bed down at the hairdresser’s?
The booth at the video store?
The sun tanning creamsor the ointments?  
You’re spoilt by the choices galore.

The old man sitting on the hill
Sees pictures in the sky
Invisible to you and me
However hard we try;
These pictures fill a storybook
That only he can read,
And meditating on these facts
His ideas start to breed. …………

The time had come to clear the soot
And be a chimney sweep
But all the things that happened next
Would make a grown man weep;
The idiotic amateur,
Not knowing what to do,
Just screwed the rods onto the brush
