THE ENGINEER OF BLENNERVILLE

There was a lonely city girl,
She was just twenty-three,
Who took a two-week holiday
And came down to Tralee,
And after all the tourist sights
In summer sun and rain,
She went to take a trip aboard

THE BONESHAKER BUS BOUND FOR CORK

There's many a wonder of which people talk
But nothing quite like an old bus bound for Cork;
A cross-country service, the driver called Séan
Says the bus had been built long before he was born.
It's uphill and down dale with sharp hairpin bends,
'Cross bogland and wasteland, the journey ne'er ends
With stops every corner and every bohereen,

SKELLIG ROCK

Standing at the edge of dawn as daylight matches dark,
I see a shape far out at sea: it is a basking shark?
But is it one or is it two?   The morning mist unveils:
These shapes, I thought at first some sharks
